GVR Solutions have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work for a well-established fit out and refurbishment contractor, based in Essex, who are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in London.

As a contractor they are primarily focused in the Hospitality, Leisure, Student accommodation and Education sectors.

The ideal Project Manager will have experience working on challenging fit out and refurbishment projects ideally in the relayed sectors.

As the Project Manager you will be:

• Act as the main point of contact to the client and their advisors on the project
• Lead client and design team meetings. Understand the client brief and budget. Lead the external design team to develop a design that aligns with the client’s brief and budget
• Negotiate fees with external consultants. Manage change control during preconstruction in accordance with the process. Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to update project cost plans and internal project budgets
• Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to develop the construction procurement strategy, build the contract sum, and procure the construction phase, in accordance with the process
• Lead the external consultant teams to prepare and achieve planning permission for the project, including discharging planning conditions

Requirements for the Project Manager position:

• Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline/ or equivalent work experience
• Experience working on challenging fit out and refurbishment contracts
• Established senior project professional
• Construction Manager’s with strong preconstruction experience will also be considered, as will individuals from a client background
• Experience of working throughout all project stages from inception through to the end of defects period
• NVQ Level 6 desirable
• SMSTS, Black CSCS Card, First aid
