GVR Solutions are currently representing a reputable and well-established main contractor, based in Central London. They are on the search for an experienced Design Coordinator to join their growing Preconstruction team. They are an up and coming business who have rapidly progressed into a reputable contractor within the commercial sector of London.

As a main contractor they typically work in the Fit out and refurbishment market providing their services to the Commercial and Aviation sectors.

Responsibilities of the Design Coordinator role:

• Managing the full design scope of projects
• Developing programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
• Controlling budget and managing targets
• Ensuring high quality drawings are delivered as per Client’s and the Company’s expectations
• Site visits and Surveys
• Client meetings / Design Workshops
• Coordinating drawings with other subcontractors
• Managing the client expectations with respect to contractual and technical issues
• Review design resources and managing design changes
• Programme coordination between design and contractor
• Close liaison with client to ensure design development issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Produce design drawings at all stages
• Develop in-detail-drawings
• Site surveys

Requirements for the Design Coordinator role:

• Degree level qualification in graphic or interior design / architecture
• Previous experience working as a Design Coordinator for a main contractor.
• Previous experience working with in the Fit out and Refurbishment sectors
• Strong experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of BIM and 3D design software is a plus
• Good level of written and spoken English
• Organisational skills, team spirit and attention to details
