Quantity Surveyor required in London
GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor, based in Central London. They are on the search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. They are a fairly young and new business who have rapidly progressed into a reputable contractor within the commercial sector of London.
As a contractor they typically work on Cut and Carve, Fit out and D&B projects in the Commercial, Healthcare and Education sectors with project values up to £20m.
Responsibilities and duties of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Be involved in the commercial reports and advice to the commercial management team
- Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Ensure the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality, and time.
- Delegate work where necessary and liaise with team on project progress
- Factor in health and safety regulations
- Managing the costs of the project, budgeting, and cash flows
- Carry out measurement for valuations
- Analyse progress and reporting
- Identify opportunities and risks
- Attend post tender and pre-contract meetings.
- Prepare summary reports for the client and other stakeholders
The Quantity Surveyor must have/be:
- A detailed knowledge of Quantity Surveying working for a main contractor
- Experience working on refurbishment and fit out projects with in London
- Stable career background
- Degree qualified or construction related course
- Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting
- Self-sufficient
- Proven track record of delivering construction projects
- Excellent communication and oral skills
- Comfortable liaising with Clients and Senior Management
- Stable employment history
- High-performing individual
- Versatile
- Excellent time keeping skills
