GVR Solutions are working with a reputable and expanding drylining contractor, delivering high-quality partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit-out solutions across a range of commercial and residential projects. They are seeking an Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and support in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
The successful candidate will assist the estimating team in the production of accurate cost estimates and tender documentation, ensuring bids are delivered on time and in line with client specifications. Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Estimator:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review and analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support the estimating team with take-offs and measurement.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and supplier contact lists.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the tender process.
- Contribute to post-tender reviews and handovers to the project delivery team.
Requirements of the Assistant Estimator:
- 1–3 years’ experience in an estimating or commercial role, ideally within drylining, interiors, or fit-out.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ConQuest, or similar).
- Eagerness to learn and develop under the guidance of the senior commercial team.
