Freelance Site Manager required in Central London
GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor who are seeking a Site Manager to join them on a commercial refurbishment project in Central London. Following the completion of said project, there may be opportunities for continuity on other projects with the company.
As a main contractor, they generally undertake high end projects within retail, commercial and residential that typically range in value from £250k – £3m.
- Scope: WC Improvements, office refurbishment, staircase decoration
- Rate: £280pd
- Start Date: 5th October
- Location: Central London
Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
- Monitor and manage all works to ensure quality of workmanship is of the highest standard
- Work alongside the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered successfully
- Management, control and mitigation of all risks relating to site activities
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities
- Maintain strong relationships with the client and consultant team
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times
- Deliver the project to programme and quality expectations
The Site Manager must have/be:
- Very client-facing
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience delivering high end projects
- Strong background working for a main contractor
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Site Management
- Ability to oversee day-today operations and subcontractors
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
