Quantity Surveyor required in Essex
GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established and growing Main Contractor, based in Essex, who are actively in the Market for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
With decades of experience in the industry, this contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment works across sectors including Commercial, Hospitality, High-end Residential, Leisure and Listed Building sectors. Their commitment to quality, collaboration, and innovation has earned them a loyal client base and continued repeat business.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments
- Cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensuring projects are commercially viable and compliant with contract requirements
- Supporting project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice
Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a main contractor
- Experience working for a main contractor working on both fit out and refurbishment projects
- Proven experience working on projects of a similar value
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred)
