GVR Solutions are working with a specialist contractor in glass partitioning, glazed fire-rated systems and internal glazing solutions, delivering innovative, high-quality installations in the commercial sector. With a reputation for precision and excellence, they are seeking a Senior Designer to join their growing design team. As Senior Designer, you will take ownership of design development across multiple glazing projects, from concept through to fabrication and installation. You will play a key role in coordinating with architects, contractors and project managers, ensuring all drawings meet both aesthetic and technical requirements.
Responsibilities of the Senior Designer:
- Produce and manage detailed CAD and BIM drawings for glazing projects.
- Lead the design process for glass partitions, glazed fire-rated systems, and bespoke glazing solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure design intent is fully released.
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Provide technical input and resolve design challenges throughout project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior designers and support their professional development.
The Senior Designer must have/be:
- Proven experience in a similar design role within the glazing, façades, or specialist construction sector.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software (Revit preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of glass partitioning, fire-rated glazing, and internal glazing systems.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
