Working Foreman
GVR Solutions are representing a well-established client, who specialise in delivering high-quality residential and commercial refurbishment projects across London and Essex. They are seeking an experienced and hands-on Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to lead and deliver small to medium-sized projects across London and Essex. This is a key site-based role for someone who can both manage trades and contribute on the tools when required.
Key Responsibilities Of The Working Foreman
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations on small projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades
- Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Carry out carpentry work when needed (1st and 2nd fix)
- Maintain site health & safety in line with regulations
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and senior management
- Monitor quality control and resolve on-site issues proactively
Requirements Of The Working Foreman
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman or Senior Carpenter
- Strong carpentry background (essential)
- Experience in residential and commercial refurbishment projects
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- Ability to run and manage small jobs independently
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
