We are currently recruiting for an experienced Skilled Bench Joiner to join a high-quality joinery workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Bench Joiner to work on bespoke, high-end timber products within a well-established manufacturing environment.
The successful Bench Joiner will be responsible for assembling finished joinery products to precise specifications, ensuring excellent quality and attention to detail throughout. This Bench Joiner role is primarily workshop-based and offers long-term stability with consistent workload.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, the Bench Joiner will carry out the assembly of finished timber products in line with technical drawings and production specifications.
Accuracy, quality, and efficiency are essential in this Bench Joiner role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bench Joiner, your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Working from cutting lists and production documentation
- Assembling high-quality joinery products
- Using hand tools including saws, trimmers, chisels, and edging tools
- Working with materials such as MDF, MFC, veneer, sprayed components, and solid timber
- Producing bespoke items including reception desks and fitted furniture
- Ensuring all Bench Joiner work meets strict quality standards
- Completing work within required timescales
- Supporting continuous improvement in workshop processes
Requirements
To be successful in this Bench Joiner role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Bench Joiner
- Strong knowledge of joinery and assembly techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings confidently
- Own professional joinery tools
- Experience in a workshop or factory environment
- High attention to detail and quality focus
