We are currently recruiting for an experienced Reactive Maintenance Plumber to join a well-established contractor working across housing association properties throughout Essex, North-West Kent, and South East London.
This Reactive Maintenance Plumber role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a growing maintenance team, carrying out essential domestic plumbing repairs and reactive maintenance works across occupied residential properties. The successful Reactive Maintenance Plumber will be confident working independently, diagnosing faults, and delivering high-quality first-time fixes.
We are looking for a reliable and professional Reactive Maintenance Plumber with strong customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently across multiple domestic properties.
As a Reactive Maintenance Plumber, your responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out reactive plumbing maintenance across housing association properties
• Diagnosing and repairing leaks, taps, toilets, showers, and pipework
• Installing water cylinders, water supply pipes, and waste fittings
• Working in occupied residential homes
• Providing excellent customer service on every visit
• Ensuring all work meets health & safety and compliance standards
• Completing first-time fixes wherever possible
To be considered for this Reactive Maintenance Plumber role, you must have:
• NVQ Level 2 Plumbing (6089/6189) or equivalent – certificate required
• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Own tools
• Ability to pass enhanced DBS, DVLA, financial and right-to-work checks
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
