At GVR Building Services, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join a well-established contractor working across housing association properties throughout Essex, Kent, and South East London.
This Plumbing & Heating Engineer role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing maintenance team, carrying out a variety of plumbing and heating works within occupied residential properties. The successful Plumbing & Heating Engineer will be responsible for reactive maintenance, wet works, cylinder installations, and fault diagnosis while delivering a high standard of customer service.
We are looking for a reliable and professional Plumbing & Heating Engineer who can work independently, solve problems efficiently, and maintain excellent standards of workmanship.
As a Plumbing & Heating Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out wet works including power flushing and cylinder installations
• Diagnosing and repairing leaks, taps, toilets, showers, and pipework
• Installing water cylinders, water supply pipes, and waste fittings
• Working within occupied residential properties
• Delivering excellent customer service on every visit
• Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations and industry standards
• Completing repairs and installations efficiently and professionally
To be considered for this Plumbing & Heating Engineer role, candidates must have:
• NVQ Level 2 Plumbing (6089/6189) or equivalent qualification
• G3 Unvented Certification
• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points)
• Own tools and PPE
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass enhanced DBS, DVLA, financial, and right-to-work checks
• Experience working within domestic maintenance environments preferred
